Hey lovely people!
Hope this finds you all well and happy.
Lockdown easing in the UK means that I have not stopped moving around our little island since.
First a visit to the Lake District for a super special friend’s birthday, who encouraged me to chuck myself in cold waters every morning. Well, 8 degrees is not that cold apparently! It has been a while since I last took a cold dip/swam and it was so good. We had a great time with the dogs walking up the mountains hills (looked like mountains to me), a little yoga everyday too but most importantly, spending time with loved ones felt so precious.
I’m writing this from the south coast, beloved Newquay, where we spend quite a bit of time as the eldest boy lives here. Being on the coast brings so much joy to my heart and yes I swim most days revelling in the cold rush of the Atlantic Ocean.
Creativity just flows here, and I’ve started the initial draft of my first cooking book, planning more classes (hopefully some will be in person), retreat planning is in the making too, thinking of the vegan raw patisserie business I am about to launch properly now that I found temporary premises.
Watch this space you local peeps!!! These raw cakes are coming at you!
Being with both boys for a week feels like a luxury and I am cooking my heart out every day for them. You might have seen the tiramisu popping (again, ha ha ) on IG. They loved it!
The Raw Tiramisu class is on the 9th May, it is such a nice raw cake to make, so mind blowingly delicious! Link below to book on this: https://day1yoga.com/product/raw-tiramisu/ Or you can always drop me an email too.
I am very grateful to Day to promote my classes, and to believe in the first place that I could do them before I even knew I could do them myself! Big thanks and love to this amazing woman!
Another class, on 16th May will be a Cook along Vegan Brunch in aid of PROJECT PLAY: this organisation helps displaced children in Northern France to find some respite and play-time during such precarious times. Education is so important and the children of refugees are totally missing out. Hope to see some of you there. https://app.acuityscheduling.com/schedule.php?owner=19314308&appointmentType=22019411
Oh and I guess I should say that this is happening via keenonyoga: I am super happy and grateful to have been asked by Adam to do a workshop via his platform: have a peruse, so many workshops, podcasts and other great stuff going on there!

Si (my husband) and I eat the way I teach every day – we always have – and my primary aim with the classes is to show just how do-able it is for anyone to do the same or simply get a little inspiration to try something different.
The Middle Eastern Foods Class on the 23rd May is a little trip down fabulous flavours, chopping techniques, perhaps introducing unusual ingredients for some of you, but I genuinely think you will make this feast again or elaborate on it and create wonderful dishes from what you will learn on the day.
You can follow me on Instagram: Caro_mightyroar to see what I get up to.
Before I go, I would like to mention that if you are a wild swimmer, know a wild swimmer, wannabe a wild swimmer, look out for these swimferal bags, made from recycled materials, supporting a small business and a wonderful woman behind it in Jamima.
If you are looking for a good read (thank you Katye), then Loosing Eden by Lucy Jones explores why our minds need the wild (starting by eating a little dirt).
Good simple, super knowledgeable, insightful ‘shit’ ….always ( and tough drills) at Day1yoga.
Traditional but not dogmatic, good humoured ashtanga with my good friend Donna (she rocks) and my daily little piece of French sunshine is Adam and I will leave you with this thought from the greatest:
The man (if I may add or the woman) who has no imagination has no wings…well off I go x
Love
Caro
