Ashtanga Yoga Weekend 8th – 10th October in North Yorkshire Moors
Escape from it all and spend a weekend focusing on deepening your Ashtanga yoga practice amidst the peace, quiet and beauty of the North Yorkshire Moors with amazing organic food all prepared by vegan chef Caro from MightyRoar; I will be cooking every day fresh, seasonal vegan food and there will be the opportunity to bake your own bread.
Barmoor Lodge is an Edwardian house on the North Yorkshire Moors with fantastic views of the surrounding countryside from every side. The communal areas are cosy with open fires and big sofas, perfect for curling up ion an autumn evening with a book or to chat to friends. The yoga space itself is in its own building just outside the lodge and has a wooden floor, a log burner and huge windows overlooking the moors. Bedrooms are simple but light and airy. Choose from twin, triple or 4/5 bed rooms.
Each morning will start with a Mysore style self practice class for the more experienced and a led Ashtanga class for those who are less familiar with the practice. In the afternoon there is the opportunity to head out on a guided walk to explore the beautiful.
North Yorkshire Moors – we will definitely try to find a wild swim spot for those who like a spot of cold water – or you can choose to relax by the fire, explore the pretty nearby village of Hutton-le-Hole or discover your own walks and explore the area. In the late afternoon there will be another yoga class focusing on refining your practice through exploration of alignment and technique as well as working with the breath and moving towards meditation and deep relaxation.
Massages will also be available via the amazing Despina.
And you will also have the opportunity to go on beautiful guided walks.
